What is a serenity & Spirit Horsemanship club?

The Serenity & Spirit Horsemanship Club is a fun, educational, and goal-oriented program designed for riders of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're stepping into the barn for the very first time or working toward competing in local horse shows, our club provides a supportive environment where riders can learn, grow, and build lasting friendships.

This program is perfect for students who are interested in showing but may not be ready for 4-H or IEA competition. It gives riders the opportunity to gain experience, build confidence, and develop the horsemanship and riding skills needed to prepare for future competitive programs—all while enjoying a fun and encouraging atmosphere.

Club members meet twice each month for a combination of horsemanship education, hands-on horse care, groundwork, educational activities, riding opportunities (when scheduled), games, guest speakers, field trips, and other fun barn experiences. Riding is not guaranteed at every club meeting, as the program is designed to develop well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen both in and out of the saddle.

Families who would like additional riding instruction may enroll in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly riding lessons for an additional fee. These optional lessons provide consistent riding instruction and individualized coaching to help riders continue progressing toward their personal goals.

A monthly membership fee helps support club activities, educational materials, awards, and participation in three annual in-barn horse shows.

Membership Includes:

  • Two club meetings each month

  • Horsemanship education- including all handouts/workbooks and binders

  • Hands-on horse care and stable management

  • Groundwork and riding activities (when scheduled)

  • Educational games, crafts, guest speakers, and demonstrations

  • Field trips and special events (additional fees may apply)

  • Goal tracking and achievement recognition

  • A positive, family-friendly barn community

  • Participation in three annual in-barn horse shows

  • Opportunities to earn an invitation to the Serenity & Spirit Elite Show Team

As riders continue to grow, those who demonstrate the necessary riding ability, horsemanship, dedication, and sportsmanship may be invited to join the Serenity & Spirit Elite Show Team. Elite Show Team members represent the barn at local horse shows throughout the season, while adult riders who meet the same standards may also receive invitations to compete at local horse shows.

Whether your goal is to enjoy horses for recreation, prepare for 4-H or IEA, or eventually compete with the Serenity & Spirit Elite Show Team, our Horse Club provides a welcoming pathway for every rider to learn, achieve, and succeed.

How do I sign up?

Attached is our Serenity & Spirit Horsemanship Club Interest Form. Completing the form does not commit you to joining—it simply lets us know you're interested in learning more about the program. We'll contact you with upcoming club dates, membership fees, availability, and answer any questions you may have.

We will reach out in mid-August with more information, a meeting date for even more information/meeting us, and all pricing and an estimated calendar!

If you're interested in adding weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly riding lessons, please indicate that on the interest form as well. Riding lessons are offered separately from Horse Club and can be customized to fit your rider's goals and schedule.
